Terri's Wedding...

Jon, Riley and I headed to Tulsa last weekend to see Terri & Eric get married. It started with a romantic Catholic Mass Ceremony, and ended with a fun and beautiful reception! I wish I had remembered to check the battery life on my camera before the wedding started...oh well...I still got a few great shots at their reception. Jon and I had a blast, and wish the Bersano's the best as they start their lives together as a married couple!

My New Hobby...

Well, it happened...I joined the bandwagon of photography. I got my first DSLR camera as a Mother's Day/Birthday present last week, and I love it! It's a Nikon DS3100 (aka very fancy camera).

Although it seems to be very user friendly, I still have a lot to figure out, and I look forward to taking some classes at the vo-tech to develop my photography skills. Here are a few pics I took the day I got it...

This last one is where the little stinker tried to grab the camera away from me...he was intrigued by the pop-up flash. Ahhhh...boys and their obsession with electronics! :)

I hope to share more pictures with you all very soon!

A Trip To The OKC Zoo...

A few weeks ago Jon and I decided to take off from work and take Riley to the zoo for some fun. We started our adventure in line...for about 45 minutes...waiting to see the baby elephant that had just been born a month earlier. Riley grew a little restless during the wait, so Jon and I tried to entertain him with a game of "peek-a-boo". He caught on quickly, and ended up entertaining us with his cute behavior.

Once we reached the viewing area within the elephant habitat, we all got to see the cute little baby elephant...which was suprisingly quite small. You could tell she has a cute little playful personality.

After viewing the elephants, we decided to rest and give little Riley a snack...He is crazy about applesauce. I swear he inhales the stuff...

We ended up spending about 4 hours at the zoo that day and saw lots of cool animals...I think Riley's favorite were the giraffes. Here's a few of the animals we photographed...

 The giraffe's were really beautiful!

Lots of knowledge was absorbed that day...

I tried to get a cute picture of the little guy, but he wasn't having it...

And then alas, it was nap time...

So, we headed home to see our little zoo animal (aka Daisy - the mini schnauzer)...

A fun time was had by all, and we will definitely be making another trip to the zoo before it gets unbearably hot outside.

Thunder Up!! - NBA Playoffs, Round 2, Game 7

Last week I got a bit of great news, when I found out I'd won tickets to the Thunder vs. Memphis game. Since Jon works all of the Thunder games, I asked my dad if he'd join me for what turned out to be the most exciting basketball game I've ever seen in person. We rolled into "Thunder Alley" and enjoyed some pre-game festivities...I even got a picture of dad with the Thunder girls as they walked by us.

 Our seats were awesome...

The arena was so LOUD...I've never seen fans get into a game as much as they did at this one.

As if going to such an amazing basketball game weren't enough, we got to drive there in this...

Dad bought himself a little toy....it's very fast, and I am totally jealous! I hope you all had a great weekend...Let's go Thunder!!
