Picture of the Week...

Just thought I'd share a picture I took of Riley modeling his new jeans....and yes, he has the remote control shoved in his mouth. Such a boy!

Riley's Loving the Great Outdoors!

Last weekend, Jon and I took Riley to a local park for some fun in the sun. Apparently many cities in Oklahoma are putting these "splash pads" into a few of their public parks. They have all kinds of devices that spray/mist/dump water on you. Riley had so much fun! He really loves the water....and this is a great alternative to going to the swimming pool. We will definitely be taking him again soon! Here are a few pictures from his adventure...

Riley also got to test out his new wagon last weekend, as Jon and I pulled him around the neighborhood for a nice evening stroll. I think he really enjoyed it! He hates being in the stroller....because he has to be strapped in, so the wagon is a great alternative. We look forward to taking him to the zoo this fall with wagon too.

I hope everyone is having a great week, and received the Save-The-Dates that we mailed out for our upcoming wedding. Have a great weekend!

Taking It One Step At A Time...

I just had to share this video I took of Riley today...He got this walker for his birthday, and it didn't take him long to figure out exactly how to use it. He's sooooo fast!

Jon's Pride and Joy...

When I drove into the driveway, coming home from work, I saw this....

Let's take a closer look...
That's right! We won Yard of the Month! Or should I say Jon won Yard of the Month....lol. I planted the flowers...so I guess I can share in the victory. I'm so proud of Jon for keeping our yard looking so great! He is seriously outside everyday watering/mowing/trimming, etc. I guess I'm kind of a dork for being so excited, but I'm super proud that our yard was voted the best out of two neighborhoods. Great Work Jon!!

Update On My MBA Program

I'm happy to report that I made an "A" in my capstone MBA class...Global and Multinational Business. I can't believe I only have two classes left in the program! I can't wait to be finished in December! I'm planning to take the Becker Review Course and sit for the CPA Exam next year....after the wedding of course! I hope everyone is having a great week!

Riley's First Birthday Party

"It's Fun To Be One!" This past Saturday we celebrated Riley's First Birthday at our home. We had a few family and friends over to eat hot dogs and hamburgers, and have cupcakes. Riley loved his birthday, and got some really great gifts! I'll guide you through the day with pictures:

These are some of the wonderful gifts Riley received for his birthday.

Here are some pictures of the decorations at his party.

Riley really enjoyed playing with cousin Caroline...who is just about his size now!

The Stone's came to the party, and their son Kaleb enjoyed playing with the babies, and opening his early birthday presents!

Here are a few pictures from opening presents...he loved those animal crackers!

Riley sure did enjoy playing with all of his presents.

We took a family photo.

He ate cake...but didn't like getting messy.

The birthday party was a huge success...and we thank everyone for supporting our sweet boy as he turned a year old.

Later that night, Jon and I had a small get-together with friends we haven't seen in awhile.

Wow! That night was a blast!

We love you Riley Blaine! Thank you for being such a wonderful baby...we look forward to watching you grow and become a great young man. Love Mommy and Daddy.

Riley Blaine - 12 Months

08/01/10

Height: 30"
Weight: 22 lbs.

Jon and I are still in awe that our baby boy is a year old! Riley went to this doctor this past week for his 12 month check-up, and we are happy to report that he is healthy! Riley has 8 teeth, with two more coming in. Having a mouth full of teeth makes him look so grown up.

His sleeping habits have changed a bit, as he likes to go to sleep at 7pm and wake up at 6am...and he refuses to take naps at daycare, because he's afraid he'll miss something. Riley tried pizza, cake and blueberries this month, and loved them all! Seriously, there's nothing this kid won't eat....typical boy. We switched Riley from formula to whole milk, and the transition was easy! He loves milk, and I can tell he's a little more satisfied after drinking it versus formula.

Riley started walking with a walker this month, waving bye-bye and drinking from sippy-cups. The most special memory from this month was celebrating Riley's First Birthday. He loved being the center of attention, and loved all of his presents from our amazing family and friends.
