Crawl For Cancer

This past weekend, Jon and I participated in a Cancer Fundraiser, "Crawl For Cancer", where we each paid forty dollars to be on a team of ten. The money went to cancer research, and we each got an event t-shirt, and lots of beer at the participating pub crawl bars. We were given a list of five bars, which averaged out to one bar per hour. At each venue, we received four free pitchers of beer...followed by an after-party with two hours of free liquid courage. It was a fun event that we really enjoyed participating in, and supporting a great cause! Here are a few of the silly pictures of our adventures...

Big thanks to The Stone's for letting us stay with them this weekend! Also, big thanks to my mom for watching our little boy, and keeping him entertained. :) We can't wait for next year's event!

Easter 2012

Sorry for the late blog post...but things have been busy around our house...as usual!

We started our Easter celebrations out by dyeing some eggs in the backyard. Riley really enjoyed helping, and put the stickers on the eggs to make "egg faces". That night, we did a glow-in-the-dark egg hunt in our house, which was so much fun!

Riley absolutely loved it, and I think it will definitely become a tradition in our house!

The next morning, Riley awoke to an Easter Basket filled with suckers, candy and a few toys...

The highlight was watching him roller-skate. :)

After breakfast, Riley hunted for plastic eggs (filled with candy) in our front yard...

Then, we headed to the backyard to hunt the real eggs we had dyed the day before...

The day was lots of fun and delicious as well, thanks to my dad, who brought ribs over for Easter Lunch. Riley also got another Easter Basket from his P-pa with fun toys and goodies. I hope you all had a happy Easter!
