Sunday was Riley's first trip to the zoo. Jon and I decided that our little guy would love the seeing all of the animals, plants, and other kids. The Oklahoma City Zoo is absolutely wonderful! If you have not been to the OKC Zoo lately, I highly recommend you go visit. It has been remodeled recently, and has nice bathrooms, shops, cafe's, etc. The grounds are maintained beautifully ,and the animals all look very clean. Another bonus was that the zoo didn't smell awful like I thought it would. They also have a fabulous Children's Zoo that has all kinds of exhibits for kids of all ages. It is also fairly inexpensive for a full day of fun. We walked all around the zoo for about 4 hours before we decided to get out of the heat and head home. We look forward to going back to the zoo this fall, when Riley will be walking and the weather will be cooler. Riley's favorite animals were the leopards, toucans, goats and tortoises.
