Engaged!!!

On Monday evening, at about 5:00 PM, Jonathan told me he wanted to take a walk around campus....I said "okay", thinking something was up. He took me to the bleachers in the OU football stadium, sat me down and told me how he felt about me, etc. (Insert Smile) He then got down on one knee, showed me the most gorgeous ring, and asked me to marry him. "YES!!!" I screamed. The proposal was the end to a very romantic weekend that consisted of dinner at the Skrivin Hotel, a walk around bricktown, and drinks at a local lounge.

I am so happy to be planning a wedding, and even more happy to be marrying my best friend and love of my life. I would like to have a spring wedding, and am thinking April 2011 would be a good time to get married....this allows plenty of time for planning. So far, I am in love with the idea of a yellow and white outdoor wedding. I want something bright, fresh and happy. I'll share more, when I know more.

Also, Jon had roses sent to me at work on Friday....unfortunately the tactful UPS man did not deliver the flowers until 30 minutes after I had gotten off work. Nice. A co-worker called to let me know they had arrived, so I picked Riley up from daycare, and headed back to Oklahoma City to get my flowers. The card was so sweet, and made me tear up. Then, on the following Tuesday, I got a call right as I was leaving work for the day, saying that another set of roses had been sent to me. I went to pick them up, thinking the florist accidentally sent them twice. I immediately called Jon to tell him about the florist's mistake. He said, "So you finally got my flowers?". "You mean you sent two sets?? On purpose?!' I asked. Turns out Jon had ordered them twice, since the other ones arrived late....he said he wanted me to have roses on my desk, so that every time I saw them, I'd think of him. How sweet is that? Oh, and of course the second set of roses came with an even sweeter card than before. I'm pretty much head over heels. :)
